Longtime Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval partner Jerry’s Auto Supply is once again the title sponsor for the 2nd Annual Thunder In the Valley. This years Thunder In The Valley will be the biggest Open Wheel Event in the Northwest.

The two day event on Saturday July 15th and Sunday July 16th will feature four Open Wheel Classes on Saturday and three classes on Sunday. Saturdays show will be highlighted by the WESCO Winged Sprint Cars that will feature cars from all over the Northwest and Canada. The very popular Non Wing Sprint Car clubs of the ISRL and WILROC will be hand both days along with the Royal Purple Modified Tour out of Idaho. This will be the first time these cars have competed at the Super Oval, they are very similar to the B Modified cars that used to race at WVSO. With the excitement of this class coming back to WVSO there is a good chance to see some local Modified drivers competing. The last class that will be competing are the old B type stock cars from Oregon, Spokane and Canada. This is one of the most popular touring classes that comes to the Super Oval.
