The second-annual Dark Side Festival will be held from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort and will again feature mountain bike rides, trail runs, a hike, live music, food and a beer garden.

Wenatchee Valley Velo Club is among the sponsors and organizers of the event. Other groups and businesses involved include
AdventureWenatchee, RunWenatchee, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, Mission Ridge, Arlberg Sports, North 40 Productions, and Two Bar Productions.

For the cost of admission, festival-goers get a non-timed mountain bike ride, trail run or hike on marked courses, one free beer at the beer garden, and live music inside Mission Ridge’s Hampton Lodge. Mission Ridge also will be selling food during the festival. Participants also can buy headlights and a commemorative t-shirt at the online registration page.

“Dark Side Festival celebrates the recreational paradise we have here in the Wenatchee Valley by bringing together those who partake in mountain biking, trail
running, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits for a few hours of fun,” said Steve Maher, president of AdventureWenatchee, which is coordinating the event.

“Another great thing about this festival is that the money raised goes directly back into trails,” Maher said.
