DESCRIPTION:Friday\, September 13th at Highlander Golf Course \n  \nThis year we are doing 2 Nine Hole Tournaments.  Each tournament will have its own contests and prizes except for the Putting and Chipping contests.  \n  \nWhat is our Helicopter Ball Drop?    Balls are dropped out of a helicopter onto Highlander Golf Course’s Driving Range.  Prizes are based on the balls closest to a pin except  for the ball farthest from the pin also wins a prize. Prizes for the Ball Drop are $1000 for 1st Place\, $500 for 2nd Place and $250 for 3rd Place.  4th – 6th places are each $100.  Ball farthest from the hole wins $250.  You can go to the registration page to purchase balls.  \n  \nFunds raised go to Sport Development and Education\, NFP\, to support our athletes by providing: \n  \n\nScholarships for recreational and competitive gymnasts\nNew equipment. \nTravel funds for gymnasts.\nSpecialized training and certifications for coaches\n\n Thank you so much for supporting our event. SUMMARY:2024 Leavenworth Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Race Overview\nA stunningly beautiful course in the scenic town of Leavenworth\, Washington. Marathoners will start near the renowned Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. Runners will run a fast course that begins with a 10 mile journey through Icicle Canyon\, transitions to trails along the Icicle River\, passes through the National Fish Hatchery to East Leavenworth Road\, crossed the bridge into the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth to follow wooded riverfront parks and trails\, eventually meeting up with Icicle Road\, which leads back to one more trip around the Icicle River trails and to the Finish and roar of the crowd at the Hatchery and event center. In this amazing course\, runners will encounter a mix of paved roads and paths\, dirt roads\, paths and trails. Surrounded by impressive mountains\, participants might see salmon spawning in the rivers or four legged creatures cheering from the edge of the wild! \nThe marathon is limited to runners who will complete the course within the six hour time limit\, due to course restrictions. Walkers are welcome in the half marathon category. The half marathon course is open for four hours.

DESCRIPTION:The Community Foundation of NCW is proud to host the Give NCW Turkey Trot\, Thanksgiving Day run in Wenatchee to kick off the Give NCW annual giving campaign. \nThe event will offer timed 5K and 10K options as well as an untimed\, fun kids race. All proceeds from the event will benefit Give NCW nonprofit participants. \nNote that Pybus Market will not be open on Thanksgiving Day. \nInterested in Volunteering? Sign up here! \nRACE DAY INFORMATION\nWelcome runners and walkers to the 2024 Give NCW Turkey Trot! The Community Foundation of NCW thanks you for helping to support the Give NCW holiday campaign for local nonprofit organizations and for taking part in this great holiday tradition. \nPacket Pickup – Wednesday night/Thursday morning \n\nPacket pickup or late registration on Wednesday Nov 27th 2:00pm-8:00pm in the concourse of Pybus Public Market.\nSeveral Pybus Market merchants are offering food and drink discounts during Packet Pickup!\nYou can also pickup your packet on race day from 7:00am-8:45am – there will be NO registration day-of race.\n\nStart/finish: All three races will start and finish on the Apple Capital Loop Trail adjacent to Pybus Public Market. The Kids Race will start at 9:00am in the boat launch parking lot (kids will run laps around the lot and be within sight); the 10k at 9:15am and the 5K at 9:30am. \nResults: The 5K and 10K races are being timed by Negative Split of Spokane. Results will be posted on the Negative Split website at https://nsplit.com/results/ following the race. Please note: the Kids Race is not timed. \nRunner/walker support: There will be an aid station at the turnaround spot on the 5K course and there will be an aid station at the turnaround spot on the 10K course. In addition\, tables with coffee\, water and food items will be located adjacent to the start/finish area. \nParking: There are several options for parking. People can park their vehicles in the Pybus Public Market lots\, along Worthen Street\, and in the Riverfront Park lot next to the pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks. On the other side of the pedestrian bridge there is ample parking available along Columbia Street and behind the Wenatchee Convention Center. \nPlease DO NOT park in the Worx gym lot and in the Hilton Garden Inn lot — both on Worthen Street. Those businesses will be open and you risk getting towed. Also\, please note that River Drive\, which is the street that skirts behind Pybus Market to the Orondo Avenue Boat Launch will be closed to vehicular traffic at Worthen Street. \nPlease see the map below for more on parking. \nRestrooms: Porta-potties will be located adjacent to the start/finish area\, and the restrooms in Riverfront Park and at Walla Walla Point Park will be open. \nNote: Pybus Market will NOT be open. \nRunner premiums: The first 750 paid participants in the 5K and 10K will receive a commemorative winter beanie hat – be sure to register early! \nCostume contest: The Community Foundation is encouraging people to get fun and creative with their running attire. The “Best Dressed Individual” will receive $500 from the Community Foundation to donate to a Give NCW nonprofit of their choice\, and the “Most Spirited Group” will receive $1\,000 from the Community Foundation to donate to a Give NCW nonprofit of their choice. To participate in the contest\, please check in with the judges in the booth located near the start/finish line. \nAwards: The top three male\, female\, and non-binary runners in both the 5K and 10K races will each receive an award. DESCRIPTION:Eastmont Thanksgiving Classic\nNovember 30 through December 1\, 2024\nTo register\, please register your team on Tourney Machine website. \n2024 will be the inaugural year for our Thanksgiving Classic Tournament. It has been made an official qualifying tournament for the Washington AAU State Tournament to be held in Spokane on March 7 through March 9 (girls) and March 14 through March 16 (boys). All teams finishing 1st or 2nd in each division will qualify for the State Championship to battle top teams from towns throughout Washington \nScores will be updated on the Tourney Machine application. All teams will need to provide a score keeper for each game so we can check scoresheets if there is a discrepancy in the reporting. \nT-shirts will be sold at Eastmont Junior High School. They are silk screened while you wait. You get to design your items by choosing from a variety of decals\, shirts\, sweatshirts\, sweat pants\, etc.
