DESCRIPTION:WENATCHEE WINTER MAGIC AAU BOYS & GIRLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT GRADES 3-8 DECEMBER 13-14\, 2024 Boys’ & Girls’ Divisions: 3rd grade\, 4th grade\, 5th grade\, 6th grade\, 7th grade\, 8th grade (Deadline Dec 1st) \n  \nEach team will be guaranteed four games. A limited number of teams will be allowed in the tournament. Each player may play on only one team and all players should have numbers on the front and the back of their jersey. 2024-2025 Official high school rules will be used\, except as follows: 1. DESCRIPTION:Eastmont Thanksgiving Classic\nNovember 29 through November 30\, 2025\nTo register\, please register your team on Tourney Machine website. \n2025 will be the inaugural year for our Thanksgiving Classic Tournament. It has been made an official qualifying tournament for the Washington AAU State Tournament to be held in Spokane on March 7 through March 9 (girls) and March 14 through March 16 (boys). All teams finishing 1st or 2nd in each division will qualify for the State Championship to battle top teams from towns throughout Washington \nScores will be updated on the Tourney Machine application. All teams will need to provide a score keeper for each game so we can check scoresheets if there is a discrepancy in the reporting. \nT-shirts will be sold at Eastmont Junior High School. They are silk screened while you wait. You get to design your items by choosing from a variety of decals\, shirts\, sweatshirts\, sweat pants\, etc.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Give NCW nonprofit participants. \nNote that Pybus Market will not be open on Thanksgiving Day. \nRACE DAY INFORMATION\nWelcome runners and walkers to the 2024 Give NCW Turkey Trot! The Community Foundation of NCW thanks you for helping to support the Give NCW holiday campaign for local nonprofit organizations and for taking part in this great holiday tradition. \nPacket Pickup – Wednesday night/Thursday morning \n\nPacket pickup or late registration on Wednesday Nov 26th 2:00pm-8:00pm in the concourse of Pybus Public Market.\nSeveral Pybus Market merchants are offering food and drink discounts during Packet Pickup!\nYou can also pickup your packet on race day from 7:00am-8:45am – there will be NO registration day-of race.\n\nKids Race: The Kid’s Race will be located in the boat launch parking lot East of Pybus next to the race trail. Kids will line up at the North end of the lot and run 4 times around the lot\, like a racetrack. We will have volunteers to help and cones for direction. All kid racers receive a Dum Dum when they finish! \nImportant! The 10k runners will be starting at 9:15am so we ask that you muster in the parking lot and not cross the path of the runners. The 5k runners will start at 9:30am. Please be aware this area will be crowded\, so if you need to leave the area\, please be mindful of the runners as you leave the area. If you are a parent runner and need to join the race\, please don’t cross the start line or it will affect your timing. \n5k/10k Start/finish: All three races will start and finish on the Apple Capital Loop Trail adjacent to Pybus Public Market. The Kids Race will start at 9:00am in the boat launch parking lot (kids will run laps around the lot and be within sight); the 10k at 9:15am and the 5K at 9:30am. \nResults: The 5K and 10K races are being timed by Negative Split of Spokane. Results will be posted on the Negative Split website at https://nsplit.com/results/ following the race. Please note: the Kids Race is not timed. \nRunner/walker support: There will be an aid station at the turnaround spot on the 5K course and there will be an aid station at the turnaround spot on the 10K course. In addition\, tables with coffee\, water and food items will be located adjacent to the start/finish area. \nParking: There are several options for parking. People can park their vehicles in the Pybus Public Market lots\, along Worthen Street\, and in the Riverfront Park lot next to the pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks. On the other side of the pedestrian bridge there is ample parking available along Columbia Street and behind the Wenatchee Convention Center. \nPlease DO NOT park in the Worx gym lot and in the Hilton Garden Inn lot — both on Worthen Street. Those businesses will be open and you risk getting towed. Also\, please note that River Drive\, which is the street that skirts behind Pybus Market to the Orondo Avenue Boat Launch will be closed to vehicular traffic at Worthen Street. \nPlease see the map below for more on parking. \nRestrooms: Porta-potties will be located adjacent to the start/finish area\, and the restrooms in Riverfront Park and at Walla Walla Point Park will be open. \nNote: Pybus Market will NOT be open. \nRunner premiums: The first 750 paid participants in the 5K and 10K will receive a commemorative winter beanie hat – be sure to register early! \nCostume contest: The Community Foundation is encouraging people to get fun and creative with their running attire. Last year\, Golf Pro Mark Babst was able to recruit 45 teams for a day of friendly competition to raise money for our annual shop-with-a-cop event!Eastmont Elves are hand selected students\, with the help of school district staff and School Resource Officers\, that are blessed with a free Christmas shopping trip. Each student is paired with a first responder during their shopping experience\, strengthening the relationship between our local youth and those working to protect them.The students selected are those who may be going through crisis\, fighting for justice in our criminal justice system\, loss of family member or loss of employment within the family.Santa’s Stars is a non-profit on a mission to ensure no child nor their family go without during the holiday season. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to LM 2025!\n\nWe are excited to announce the second year of our new course now featuring a half marathon start and finish in beautiful Enchantment park\, with a tour through the Bavarian Village and its amazing riverfront parks\, the familiar Icicle valley and a combined event finish at nearby Enchantment Park!\n\nWith the celebration of our 20th anniversary under our belt\, a brand new USATF and Boston Qualifier Certification\, a fantastic new event venue and a stunning course\, LM25 promises to be the best ever.\n  \nRace Overview\nA stunningly beautiful course in the scenic town of Leavenworth\, Washington. Marathoners will start near the renowned Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. Runners will enjoy a fast course that begins with a 9 mile journey through scenic Icicle Canyon\, then will turn right on East Leavenworth Road heading north in the fully closed southbound lane all the way to the Wenatchee River Bridge where they will cross into the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth to follow wooded riverfront parks and trails\, eventually meeting up with Icicle Road\, which leads to Icicle River trails and then once again joining onto East Leavenworth Road for a second lap following again into the riverfront trails which will lead this time to the finish and roar of the crowd at the Enchantment Park Event Center. \nIn this amazing course\, runners will encounter a mix of paved roads and paths\, dirt roads\, paths and trails. Surrounded by impressive mountains\, participants might see salmon spawning in the rivers or four legged creatures cheering from the edge of the wild. \nThe marathon is limited to runners who will complete the course within the six hour time limit\, due to course restrictions. Walkers are welcome in the half marathon category. The half marathon course is open for four hours. \nThe half marathon course will enjoy an Enchantment Park Start right from the TedDriven Event Center\, heading up the parkway\, the turning onto the sidewalk along highway 2\, then parading down Front Street through the heart of the Bavarian village before turning right on 9th Street and entering Riverfront Park. From there\, the course will follow the same route as the Marathon back to the finish at Enchantment Park. \n  \n

Bring your bike\, lace up your sneakers\, push a stroller\, or just come enjoy the fun! \nWe’ll also be commemorating the anniversary of the historic flight of Miss Veedol\, the aircraft that completed the first nonstop transpacific flight from Misawa\, Japan on October 3\, 1931\, to East Wenatchee\, Washington on October 5\, 1931. \nWHEN: Friday\, October 3\, 2025 | 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.\nWHERE: Pangborn Memorial Airport | 1 Pangborn Drive\, East Wenatchee\, WA 98802\nPARKING: Commercial Terminal Parking Lot\, enter through Gate 1 \nGates open at 5:30 p.m. The evening will officially begin at 6:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony and the Walk\, Run & Ride event on the runway (the route will be limited to 20 minutes). The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. \nDo I have to register in order to Walk?\nYes\, we want to know you’re walking with us and need every participant to sign a standard waiver through their official registration. There is no registration fee for Walk. However\, we ask every participant to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s. \nDo I need to register my children for Walk?\nYes\, children should register. Parents/guardians can register children online or complete an offline registration form and sign the waiver on behalf of the child. \nDoes every participant get a T-shirt?\nEvery registered participant who achieves the fundraising minimum of $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt via USPS. To receive a shirt in time for Walk day\, participants must raise the T-shirt minimum at least four weeks prior to the event. \nHow do I get my offline donations to show up on my personal fundraising web page?\nDonations can be made offline by submitting a check or money order by mail or hand-delivering to the local Alzheimer’s Association office. Be sure to include your offline donation form\, which can be found in your Participant Center or on your fundraising web page\, to make sure you receive credit for the donation. Donations typically take one to two weeks to show up on your web page. Don’t want to wait? You can also deposit checks directly to your Walk page from the Walk to End Alzheimer’s mobile app for iPhone or Android. \n\n\nEvent Specifics\nAre pets\, strollers\, bicycles and skates allowed on Walk day?\nWe do allow strollers\, but for everyone’s safety\, we discourage skateboards\, bicycles\, inline skates and wheelie footwear. Depending on the Walk location rules\, well-behaved dogs are welcome\, but must be on a leash at all times. \nWhat happens if it rains?\nWalk is a rain or shine event. However\, in the case of severe weather\, we will cancel. If this is the case\, we will update our Walk homepage on or before the morning of the event. \nWe need volunteers! Know anyone who might be interested in helping us on the day of the event?\nWe need volunteers to help with set-up\, clean-up\, registration\, water stops\, Promise Garden and so much more.
