DESCRIPTION:Race Overview\nA fast course with something for everyone. Gorgeous course\, largely on traffic free paved trails along the Columbia River. Cascade Mountain views abound. Full Marathon\, Half\, 10k and 5k categories. Walkers welcome in all categories. \nAbout TedDriven: Your participation enables us to invest in Cancer Research and Survivor Support\nThe Leavenworth and Wenatchee Marathons are operated by TedDriven\, LLC a social benefit organization that supports cancer research and local not for profits. Cancer research is a special interest of the directors. We all are connected to someone affected by cancer. Your race directors\, Lynda\, Colin\, Wendy & Ian have all been directly impacted and are committed to doing their part to fight the disease. TedDriven invests proceeds from the Wenatchee Marathon and the Leavenworth Marathon to the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at Columbia University. \nAbout Wenatchee\nAs described by the Wenatchee Valley Chamber – “We are at a confluence of two rivers\, the rushing Wenatchee and the mighty Columbia in a land enveloped by the foothills and towering peaks of the Cascades. We are a place where the earth’s geology is ever present. We have harnessed the power of our waters to power the west and cultivated our valley to give the world fruits from our orchards and wine from our vineyards. \nThe spirit of our people is the result of a place that knows how to produce. We put faith in the land to make the harvest each year and have innovated ways to share our bounty across this nation and world.
