SUMMARY:NCW Sports Awards
DESCRIPTION:47th Annual Awards!\nWenatchee Valley College Department of Athletics and Wenatchee North Rotary is proud to announce that we will welcome Joe Harris Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets as our keynote speaker this year. He will be introduced by his father\, legendary NCW basketball coach Joe Harris Sr.\, who retired recently after decades as the head coach at Lake Chelan High School.\nSince moving the event to the Town Toyota Center two years ago\, the more than 500 dinner seats available on both occasions have been sold out and netted over $35\,000 in scholarships for student-athletes from Oroville to the greater Wenatchee Valley! \nPlease consider becoming a partnering or even naming sponsor of this year’s event\, and purchase a table for your organization before they are all gone. Please don’t hesitate to call or email Sports Awards Chair and WVC AD Greg Franz at gfranz@wvc.edu or 509-670-0951 or WNR President Kevin Vitulli at kvitulli@bannerbank.com or 509-886-8288 if you would like to become a sponsor or media partner.  \n  \n

SUMMARY:United Way Color Rush
DESCRIPTION:From a workout to a work of art in 3.1 miles! Color Rush is the primary fundraiser to support United Way of Chelan & Douglas Counties’ Youth United program. Participants start out in a bright\, white t-shirt\, then at approximately every kilometer\, they get blasted with a different colored vibrant powder. By the time they return\, they look like a Skittles employee! Then\, at the end of the run\, they are given another packet of color so they can participate in the final color blast at the end of the run. This is a fantastic\, family-friendly event with photo opportunities and memories to keep for a lifetime! \nYouth United is a program that encourages teens in grades 6-12 to volunteer and then recognizes their contributions with a Varsity Letter (high school) or a Service Medal (Middle School). It is a fantastic way to get our valley’s youth engaged in their community and its needs while creating a greater sense of self worth as a contributing citizen. Additionally\, it helps our valley’s youth build amazing resumes for their future college and college scholarship opportunities. \nRegistration Info
